WorldSkills London 2011, the largest ever international skills Competition and careers event has drawn to a close. It was held 5-8 October 2011 at ExCeL London, the largest event the venue has ever hosted. Young people from 51 countries/regions were competing to be the best of the best in their chosen skill.

We are part of an international WorldSkills movement. We have been enabling young people to showcase their trade and skills talents since 1981. WorldSkills Europe offers the chance to share ideas and best practice, and creates networking opportunities through our EuroSkills Competitions, events, and meetings. The EuroSkills Competitions provide Members with opportunities to benchmark training systems and use competition methodology to improve national Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems and skills competitions. The 41st WorldSkills Competition took place in London from October 5th to 8th, 2011. More than 950 of the best vocational students from over 51 countries/regions competed in 46 different disciplines. In excess of 1,000 Experts, VIPs, and 1000 Journalists visited the event, along with over 200,000 Visitors.

WorldSkills Conference 2022 The conference will take place on 13–14 October 2022 in Shanghai. The 47th WorldSkills Competition will take place 10-15 September 2024, following the postponement of the 46th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 12-17 October 2022 The 46th WorldSkills Competition, earlier postponed, will take place in Shanghai, China in October 2022. WorldSkills brings together young people, industry, government, education, and institutions, to promote the benefits of and need for skilled trade professionals. The aims of the competition include demonstrating the advantages of learning a vocational skill, and encouraging 'parity of esteem' between vocational and academic qualifications.

WorldSkills organises the world championships of vocational skills, and is held every two years in different parts of the world. The organisation, which also hosts conferences about vocational skills, describes itself as the global hub for skills.
